This past Monday, I was privileged to attend a Church Planting round table in OKC. Here were my favorite things about that time:
- BBQ Ribs at Charleston’s
- Meeting Church Planters from around the nation
- Realizing that I am doing some things right
- The challenge of moving the Church forward with vision
- Connect with dear friends: Brian, Dale and Becca, Mark and Ladonna, Rex
- Meeting Steve: Steve you left an impression on my life
- BBQ on the way home
- Seeing my 3 girls when I came home
- Reflecting the whole process
- God speaking to me through great people
You mean to tell me you were in OKC and we didn’t know it? We really miss you and are very proud of you and your commitment to the work of God. If you can, let us know when you are here.
Did you know I finished my last legislative session as state senator? I am going to miss that work, and I am also praying that God will lead me into the best place for me at this time of my life. For the first time in many many years, I am not sure what the future holds in terms of work and income. However, I am taking your advice (taken from Jesus, of course) of Mark 11:24 to pray for the things that I desire, believe that I shall receive them, and then I shall have them. My desire is to make a difference in the lives of children, their parents, and their teachers by going back to the public schools. I pray for this opportunity and believe that God knows that desire and will provide for me. (After all, He was the one who gave me that desire.) Love, Kathleen
